There is something about Italian shoes that is commonly recognized as being superior and anyone who wears Italian shoes, man or woman, knows that they are wearing something that makes a definite fashion statement. One of the reasons for the famous reputation of Italian shoes is that historically the best leather factories were in Italy and that reputation still continues. It’s kind of like French perfume, there is an association between the country and the quality of the individual product. The best leather tanning techniques started in Italy, and the methods that were used traditionally for shoe making and tanning the leather still continues.

Even though there is technology today that allows for the same kind of craftsmanship to be carried out anywhere in the world, Italian shoes have that reputation of being superior. One of the things that people have said is that Italian shoes are like any other well-made shoes, it’s just that they’re still relying on the made in Italy tag. However, the Italians do have a long history in the field of shoe making.

Some advice that you might want to take if you’re looking into Italian shoes is to check out the craftsmanship of the shoe. Not all shoemakers are created equal. Some make shoes that fit a different way than others. And while the same level of expertise might be available in two different shoemakers, one shoemaker might simply make a shoe that fits your foot better than another one. Our feet are all different. Actually, our feet are often different from one another, people typically have one foot that’s a little bigger than the other. One of the things that Italian shoemakers have is a reputation for knowing about foot anatomy. They know how the foot works in great detail, and when they create shoes, even those darling delicate high-heel creations, they know how to shape the sole and shape the uppers so that they fit the foot in the most perfect manner.

The Italian reputation for shoemaking is not just limited to one type of Italian shoes. Women’s shoes come in a wide variety, from mid cut boots, full length boots, wedge shoes, loafers, and the high fashion high heels, and men’s dress and leather shoes are very popular. Italian shoes are hand made from top quality leather, so you know that you really are getting your money’s worth. These shoes will last for a very long time and will always look good.

Certain countries are famous for certain products. France has the world renowned wines. Switzerland has its chocolates. And Germany has its cuckoo clocks. Italy certainly has several products for which it’s earned well-deserved fame. At the top of this list are Italian shoes.

Ask any woman who loves shoes, and she’ll tell you: Italian shoes are the ultimate in class, comfort and beauty. That’s because they are made with such care and style. The craftsmen in Italy treat each pair of shoes like an individual work of art. And, trust me, it most certainly shows.

Fortunately, finding stylish Italian shoes is no challenge today. Women’s stores and mall clothing shops all carry a wide range of Italian shoes brands. However, if you want to pick your Italian shoes from the widest selection possible, while paying the lowest prices, stay away from the shops. Instead, you should do your shopping online.

Run a quick online search for “Italian shoes” and you’ll discover page after page of online retailers all eager to sell you the latest shoes from the hottest Italian stylists and shops. This is good news for anyone hunting for the perfect gift for a special woman: Italian shoes are sure to delight any woman who receives them.

Most Italian shoes are not cheap, but there is a good reason for this. They are superbly crafted and extremely stylish. These factors usually do not equate with cheap or bargain-priced.

This doesn’t mean that you have to spend a small fortune, though, to buy a pair of Italian shoes. By shopping on the Internet, you’ll be able to compare prices on a wide range of shoes. It won’t take you long to discover which retailers are offering their Italian shoes at a fair price, and which are trying to overcharge you.

Once you determine this, you can shop confidently with the knowledge that you will be able to recognize both a good and a bad deal.

Before buying Italian shoes, though, you should also consider the personal style of the woman whom you are hoping to surprise. Does the special woman in your life enjoy late-night dancing at stylish nightclubs? Or is she more likely to wear her Italian shoes at an important board meeting? The answer to this question will help you target the Italian shoe that is perfect for your significant other.

Once you’ve done your research, you can make your selection confidently. You can also rest easy knowing that once your special woman’s birthday, anniversary or other milestone arrives, you’ll have the perfect gift. Imagine your significant other’s joy when she opens your present to find a brand-new pair of designer Italian shoes. She’ll be thankful. And she’ll wonder what she did to land such a thoughtful partner.

Italian Shoes: Is It In The Blood?

It is so cliché to say that Italian shoes are the finest shoes in the world, but there is a reason for that.  It’s true!  Did you ever wonder how Italian shoe designers like Prada and Gucci ever got to be so huge?  Yes, they had top level advertising firms doing the spin for them but that alone is not enough.  The quality of their product speaks for itself once the word is out.  You will never hear anyone ask “Who is Sergio Rossi?”  Well, you might but they probably just stepped off a deserted island somewhere in the South Pacific.  Italian shoes are world renowned for not only quality but their trend setting design season after season, year after year.

Italian shoe designers take special pride in their craft.  The materials they use are of the highest quality so when you buy a pair of mens Italian leather shoes, you know it is genuine leather and not some synthetic fabric with a leather veneer.  If you have ever wondered why they are priced so high it is not all in the name.  Let me rephrase that.  It is all in the name, but the name is a result of the quality of the product.  If you ever buy a pair of Prada shoes that fall apart the first time you go out dancing you had better hire a private eye to find the scam artist who sold them to you.  They would surely be a knock-off.  Never, ever buy a pair of Italian shoes from a street vendor.  The same holds true for online auctions.  Always check for the authenticity of the merchant.  If you are unsure of the company you are ordering from check with the online Better Business Bureau.

Whether you are looking for Italian boots for the winter or Italian sandals for a warm summer day there are a multitude of designer shoes out there to meet your needs.  If you can’t find a pair of shoes you like you aren’t looking in the right place!  (No you don’t have to go to Italy, try Macy’s or Nordstroms.)

I have often wondered if being Italian has something to do with it.  Take for example Salvatore Capezio.  He was born in Muro Lucano, Italy in 1871, but got his start in New York repairing theatrical shoes.  We all know that Capezio shoes are the most famous footwear worn by professional dancers around the world.  Maybe it is in the blood, I don’t know, but I do know that Italian shoemakers cannot be rivaled.  If you don’t believe me see for yourself.  Once you’ve worn your first pair of Italian shoes you’ll never buy anything else.
